Using Elementor Header and Footer Builder

Elementor Header and Footer Builder plugin allows you to create custom headers and footers for your WordPress site using Elementor’s intuitive drag-and-drop interface. Here’s how you can create and manage header and footer templates:

Creating a New Header/Footer Template

  1. Navigate to Plugin Setup:

    • Go to your WordPress dashboard.
    • Click on Appearance > Elementor Header & Footer Builder.
  2. Add New Template:

    • Click on Add New to create a new header or footer template.
  3. Enter Title:

    • Enter a title for your template in the designated field at the top. This title is for your reference and won’t be displayed on your site.
  4. Select Template Type:

    • Choose whether you are creating a Header or Footer template.
  5. Display Conditions:

    • Display On: Select where you want to display this header or footer. Options may include Entire Site, Home Page, Singular Posts, Archive Pages, etc.
    • User Roles: Choose which user roles can see this header or footer.

    Note: If the template is not ready to be published yet, you can keep the Display On option as Select.

  6. Publish Your Template:

    • Click on Publish to save your template.

Editing Your Template with Elementor

  1. Edit with Elementor:

    • After publishing, click on Edit with Elementor to start designing your header or footer using Elementor’s drag-and-drop editor.
  2. Design Your Template:

    • Use Elementor’s widgets and styling options to design your header or footer. You can add elements like logos, menus, buttons, social icons, etc.
  3. Save Your Changes:

    • Click on Update in Elementor to save your changes to the header or footer template.

Managing Templates

  1. View All Templates:

    • To view all your created templates, go to Appearance > Elementor Header & Footer Builder. Here, you will see a list of all your templates.
  2. Edit or Delete Templates:

    • From the templates list, you can edit or delete any template as needed. Click on the template title to edit, and use the options available to delete.

Applying Templates

  1. Assign Templates:

    • Once your header or footer template is designed and saved, it will automatically apply to the areas you specified in the Display On settings.
  2. Preview and Test:

    • Use the preview options within Elementor or visit your site to see how the new header or footer template looks across different pages.
