Activating and Configuring WePOS Settings for TechShop

In this lesson, we will guide TechShop through the process of activating and configuring WePOS, a point of sale (POS) plugin that integrates seamlessly with their online store built on WooCommerce. WePOS will enable TechShop to manage their in-store sales efficiently and streamline their POS operations. Let’s explore the steps to activate and configure WePOS for TechShop.

1. Activate the WePOS Plugin:

   • Go to the WordPress admin dashboard of TechShop’s website.
   • Navigate to “Plugins” and click on “Add New.“
   • Search for “WePOS” in the plugin search bar.
   • click on “Activate” to activate the plugin.

2. Access WePOS Settings:

   • In the WordPress dashboard, find the “WePOS” menu item in the sidebar.
   • Click on “WePOS” to access the plugin settings.

3. General Settings:

   • In the General tab, configure the basic settings for WePOS.
   • Set the Decimal Separator and Thousand Separator according to your currency format.
   • Choose the Default POS Outlet where sales will be recorded.
   • Specify the Receipt Header and Footer, which will appear on customer receipts.
   • Configure other general settings as needed.

4. Tax Settings:

   • In the Tax tab, configure the tax-related settings for WePOS.
   • Set the Tax Label and Tax Class for the products.
   • Specify whether tax should be inclusive or exclusive of product prices.
   • Set up additional tax rates and classes if applicable.

5. Payment Settings:

   • In the Payment tab, configure the payment options for WePOS.
   • Choose the Payment Gateways that will be available at the point of sale.
   • Enable offline payment methods, such as Cash on Delivery, if required.
   • Configure payment-related settings, such as rounding options and receipt printing.

6. Receipt Settings:

   • In the Receipt tab, customize the appearance and content of customer receipts.
   • Design the Receipt Header and Footer using the provided visual editor.
   • Include relevant information, such as store details, contact information, and return policies.

7. Additional Settings:

   • WePOS offers additional settings for various functionalities, such as Barcode Scanning, Keyboard Shortcuts, Discounts, and more.
   • Explore these settings and configure them based on TechShop’s specific requirements.

8. Save and Test:

   • After configuring the desired settings, click on “Save Changes” to save the WePOS settings.
   • Test the POS functionality by making a test sale and ensuring that all configured settings are working as expected.

By activating and configuring WePOS settings, TechShop will have a fully functional point of sale system integrated with their online store. They can now proceed to use WePOS for managing in-store sales, inventory, and customer interactions efficiently.
